Use of Synalar

My GP has prescribed Synalar as I am suffering from hair loss. I have no rash or irritation on my scalp Should I use this gel ? Is it safe to use on bleached coloured hair (no ammonia ) ? I am a 73 year old female.

Hello It looks like alopecia areata. Alopecia areata is a disease that causes hair to fall out in small patches. The main symptom of alopecia areata is loss of hair in small round patches (roughly the size of a quarter) on the scalp. Other than that fungal infection due to tinea capitisalso needs evaluation. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
