a red patch appeared on my leg its as big as a whole hand & it appeared after I was out & just felt a itch on my leg & scratched it with my other foot with my trousers still over the areaonce I scratched it 2 or 3 times it seemed ok until I got home & looked at my leg & there it was a big red patch which is also on my other leg now as well but it isn't as big on the other leg. Any idea what it is

From the symptoms it can be dermatitis (atopic contact allergic) heat rash viral rash or excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis.
You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid deodorant / cosmetics. You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste applied directly to wet skin after bathing. Take some antihistaminic lie Benadryl or Claritin for the itching.
If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
