I have been abusing Benadryl for almost 20 years now on and off. At one point a few years ago I was taking 100 pills in a night to get high. This is not an exaggeration. I am trying not to take it so often so right now I am taking about.24 pills once a week. I have never met anyone who has this addiction but have read a few stories about other people having this problem. Has anyone ever treated this addiction? Were you successful in treating it?

This is an uncommon addiction but not unheard of. The safest way of treating it is tapering the drug exactly how you are doing it now. Take less and less pills and spread the intervals between doses. I do not advice to abruptly stop as you may have unpleasant reaction. Good luck to you.
