Hi Today I woke up and went to the toilet. I wiped my butt and then I felt an insanely painful sensation on one particular spot on/in my anus. Then I saw blood on the paper as well. Then I looked in the mirror and I saw this at first (pictures of my left butt not butthole): http://i43.tinypic.com/iwnpep.png http://oi41.tinypic.com/24zj5eo.jpg I tried feeling the area around the spots which look like broken bloodvesses and my feeling there is definitely a lot worse than on the same position on my right butt. For example when I squeeze it almost doesn't hurt at all. I also made a picture of my butthole which I can upload if needed where I see a small spot which I think is the spot that really hurts. Some background information: 2 years ago I went to Thailand. Ever since coming back I have felt ill and have expierenced multiple complaints. Mainly a block of mucus stuck in my throat fatigue chronic blocked nose rashes on face small broken bloodvessels everywhere chronic loose stools worsened eye vision pain in eyes when sun is shining (even when not looking at the sun at all) worsned memory limbs get numb very quickly shooting pain around swollen lymphnodes in armpit neck and groin. I have been to the ENT dr. and internal medicine dr. Both of them couldn't find anything wrong. Thank you for your help.

Hello Thanks for posting your query. I can understand your concern for the spots on the buttocks. Moreover you have an array of other symptoms as well. I have checked the photographs and from the symptoms and photographs two possibilities which need to be ruled out are: 1) Folliculitis: Folliculitis is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles. The condition may occur anywhere on the skin.It starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. In most cases of folliculitis the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph). In your case chronic loose stools and wiping after each stool could have caused irritated hair follicles causing folliculitis. 2) Second possibility to be ruled out is of herpes simplex. It presents as one or more blisters on or around the rectum. The blisters break leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. It can be diagnosed by lab tests including DNA -- or PCR -- tests and virus cultures. My suggestion would be to get it examined from a dermatologist to rule out folliculitis. Till then keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful for folliculitis and if it is due to folliculitis you should benefit from it. Hope that this information helps and hope that you will get better soon. Wishing you good health.
