Hello Thanks for posting your query. I can understand your concern and according to National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation sodium lauryl sulfate is an important ingredient of shampoo which can cause hair loss. However losing 5-7 strands of hair per day is not termed as hair loss. It is normal to lose up to 100 hairs per day. If you are having excessive hair loss from scalp and eyelashes other important causes like telogen effluvium should be ruled out. Stress and hormonal imbalance are important causes for hair loss. Because of stress you may be absentmindedly rubbing your eyes or pulling eyelash hair which may be causing hair fall from eyelashes. Eat a healthy diet containing more of green leafy vegetables Selenium zinc and magnesium are some of the minerals that your hair needs and also amino acids and vitamin E will help in growing hairs. Also rinse the shampoo well. If the symptoms persist then get it evaluated from a dermatologist. Hope that this information helps and hope that you will get better soon. Wishing you good health.
