Correcting lens implants

First I would like to know if lens implants are ever removed due to dissatisfaction? My left eye is for distance my rt for closeup. I have lost some distance in left since surgery and the right for close up isn't right. I used to wear mono contacts so I know how it should be. My dr wants to tweak my right eye to make it for distanceI can't see what's on my plate now How would I put on make-up? I wanted mono vision but now I have to wear glasses for distance during for night vision and glasses for reading. I'm so disappointed. He didn't explain everything to me or tell how bad things could be. I do use drops a lot and I do feel some pressure. I really wish I had only done one eye or possibly bifocal probably shouldn't have done at all.

It sounds to me that your doctor did not manage to calculate your lens power properly hence giving you vision that is neither here nor there ie not clear for distance not clear for near but somewhere in between which is not useful for your particular situation. Some helpful information would be: 1. When did you have your surgery? 2. What was the power of your mono contacts or perhaps how much shortsight was your near mono contact set to? 3. What is your current spectacle power now after the cataract surgery? 4. What kind of lens has been implanted into your eyes? Having this kind of information will help us understand your situation better. Lens implants are sometimes removed but only when other less invasive options will not work.
