Hi all I'm 32 years old and suffering severe anxiety about the future of my vision. I am highly myopic (-8 with -3 astig) and ive just read about lattice degeneration which has scared the hell out of ne My optician has never said that i have this. In fact he mentioned my eyes looked healthy. What i want to know is would he mention that i had this if i had it? Thanks

Most cases of myopia are often treated with eyeglasses or contact lenses. But for severe condition it causes the retina to stretch and become thinner and develop a lattice degeneration. I recommend you to ask for a second expert opinion to make sure that you're not having this lattice degeneration problem.
