Hi everyone what a relief to find this forum! I have discovered I have a 5.7 cm dermoid cyst on my left ovary to be confirmed during surgery (on 5/14/12). I have to decide if I will do Da vinci robotic surgery or laparoscopic surgery (without the robot) by tomorrow. Does anyone have any input or suggestions? My surgeon said that the scars are larger and higher on the torso (just under ribs) using Da vinci but there is more torq with laparoscopy during surgery therefore more stretching of the abdominal wall during the procedure. I am terrified of the whole thing.:( I welcome anyone's input. Thank you!

For me I had to remove 8cm cyst on my right ovary last 3 weeks ago.My operation is laparosopic. I found very tiny scars on my abdominal. After one weekI became normal and no pain at all.No need to worry...;)
