Recovery from Double oopherectomy due to ovarian cycsts

Hello I am new here and I apologize if I am posting in the wrong place. I am 47 and have had both my ovaries and tubes removed because of serous cycsts on both of them. I had the surgery a week ago (laparoscopic) and I am still bloated although the incisions are healing well. how long will the bloating and the gas last? is this normal? The pain is minimal now and I am no longer taking the pain pills. also as I no longer have ovaries I am now into full menopause I am on HRT to ease me through the transition I have some questions about that could someone kindly point me to the best place to ask about that?

Bloating is very normal following surgery as your bowel recovers. I recommend walking as much as possible as this gets the gas to move through. I know this is not easy following surgery due to pain. Hopefully you both have postoperative appointments with the MDs who did your surgery so that you can get checked. In terms of the menopausal symptoms I would speak to the gynecologist who did your surgery.
