5 Years still worried

Hello doctor you answered and relived my worries around 5 years ago I realise that I had what you call a low risk event and a condom was used that did not appear to break. Since then I have around 12 other partners and used condoms for every event and I am certain not one has ever failed. However im still concerned that I might of picked something up from the exchange 5 years ago where I had protected sex with a escort. I think im noticing some testicle shrinkage and not as hard erections along with other minor things a lump in the groin where it joins my leg well its not so much a lump more of a knot of muscle or tissue around 2cm in length and 1cm diameter. Non movable. Im guessing my question is do you think after 5 years I could of picked something up from my low risk encounter? hiv or other std's? I have not tested but I did goto work in another country and received a medical blood test's urine tests etc for medical insurance and general well being. Nothing was flagged and my unrinalis came back negative on everything.

Welcome back to the Forum. I'll try to help. I worry that you are associating two unrelated events. Condom protected sex is safe sex. You have told me that your condoms did not break and I agree- if they seemed intact they probably were. Therefore there should be no appreciable risk for STI of any sort including HIV. There are NO STIs which cause testicle shrinkage less firm erections or the sorts of lumps you describe. My advice would be to address the concerns you have noted above with your doctor but not to worry that they might be caused by STIs of any sort. In my opinion there is no need whatsoever for STI testing at this time.
