Risk from cut on penis shaft worried!!

I had sex for the first time outside of my marriage with an unknown status of a women. The sex was protected with a condom. She was a CSW and I was nervous about it but the temptation was there. She stayed on top the whole time which lasted about ten minutes. She didn't have an orgasm and I didn't ejaculate either. During the sex I felt a pinch and kinda move my pants down some more. After it was over she removed the condom and I washed myself and hadn't noticed a cut. When I got back later to my room I felt a sting because the a/c wasn't working and I started sweating I felt a sting. I looked under near the base of my penis and that's when I saw a small cut which I think happened from my penis rubbing against my zipper. I didn't see any blood anywhere but it worries me that her fluid may have came in touch with my cut. It's been 5 weeks and I feel great just stressed and feeling regret. Please advise and tell me my risk your help is greatly appreciated. I haven't been happy since this happened. Never again!! Thanks for any advice and you time.

Welcome to the Forum. I'll be pleased to comment. the exposure you describe was virtually no risk for HIV or for other STIs and should not worry you. Most commercial sex workers do not have STIs including HIV and most exposure to infected partners do not lead to infection. For HIV on average only one infection occurs for every 1000 sexual exposures and in your case your exposure was condom protected effectively making it a no risk event. I suspect that the "cut" you noticed was simply the result of friction that occurred during sex. Even if your partner's genital secretions got onto the wound there would not be risk for HIV from the surface contamination. From a medical perspective there is no reason for testing related to this exposure however if you wish to test for peace of mind then do so- once. At this time 5 weeks after an exposure over 95% of recent exposures would have led to positive tests. In your case should you chose to test I anticipate it will be negative. Please do not worry. EWH
