Hiv risk I'm getting crazy please help

Hi doctors i had protected sex with a russian sex worker. I used the condom for all the time. My doubt is related with the fact that once finished i kept the condom on for a few minutes while i was laid down on my back on the bed. Do you think its possible to get HIV with an used condom on for a few minutes? I took 4th generation test (antigen+antibody) 6 weeks after and it was negative. How reliable is it? I'm 21 and apparently healthy do you think is it possible the test doesnt detect either antigen and antibody at six weeks?

Welcome to the Forum. I will be pleased to comment. You can be confident that you did not get HIV from the exposure that you describe. You do not even know that your partner had HIV and the fact is that most commercial sex workers do not have HIV. Even in the unlikely circumstance that she did even most unprotected exposures do not lead to infection. In your case your exposure was condom protected and therefore no risk at all. That you did not immediately remove the condom does not change this. Finally your test results prove that you were not infected. Fourth generation tests like the one you were tested with provide definitive results 4 weeks after exposure- that your test was negative proves you were not infected. There is no reason for further concern about HIV related to this exposure and no reason for further testing. I hope my comments are helpful
