Hi everybody So I recently went to the doctor because I kept having panic attacks and it was scaring me thinking that something was wrong with my heart. Well the doctor did an ekg and said that my heart was enlarged and i had high blood pressure and that she was going to start me on hydrochlorothiazide. Well now I am terrified that I'm going to die very soon from this... has anybody been diagnosed with this? Did it go away after treatment? Please help I'm sooo scared that this is going to take me away from my family... Forgot to mention that I am a 24 year old male about 5'9 160lbs and have asthma. I use to smoke but since this news was broken to me I have quit... I also have a family history of heart issues but none this soon in life. Thanks for any help in advance

Went back to my doctor's today and they did a chest x-ray which came back normal don't know what this means for heart enlargement... doctor set me up with a visit to see a cardiologist for a heart ultrasound... I'm praying that it will come back normal. This is scaring the crap out of me... any in sight 81 much appreciated. Thanks
