Hey I was wondering do you ever get a visible temple pulse or get to where you can actually feel your temple pulse without touching it? This happens to me usually after eating I can feel my temple pulse without touching. I don't usually have a hr over 80 after eating when this happens. I do take meds for hypertension losartan hctz and spirolactone. Like right now I can see my temple vein(not a hard pulse) but is visible. I just checked my Bp and it's (125/63). I mentioned it to my doctor an he just said it's probably Blood pressure spikes after eating and dismisses the subject? Just wondering if you know of anyone that has this problem? It's really bothering.

Hi What other symptoms are present? I understand your concern regarding this and it is good that initial evaluation by your doctor was fine. While physiologic increase in blood pressure from eating is possible cause of blood pressure spikes it is best that you monitor and watch out for additional symptoms like headache and tenderness that may be caused by other conditions like temporal arteritis. Regular BP monitoring is highly recommended. Take care and do keep us posted.
