If not a Kidney Stone

Shortly after I had my gallbladder removed on 3/19/15 I started having severe side (flank) pain. This pain moved from my side up my back. I would be up for hours with the pain and only during the night did I need to go to the bathroom what seemed like every 5 minutes. They did an ultrasound and urine test. There was blood in my urine so they treated it as a UTI and prescribed Bactrim. My ultrasound did not show anything that would cause the pain. Almost a week later my symptoms became more severe. The pain was more in my back than my side I developed nausea and hot sweats (no fever). There was still blood in my urine but no signs of an infection. My PCP felt it was kidney stones and prescribed me flomax to help pass it. Days later no change. They did a CT scan but it showed no stones. I still have blood in my urine so they suggested I see a Urologist. Feeling frustrated I have not made an appointment yet. Yesterday I felt pretty good just some lower back pain occasional nausea and I did have two hot sweat periods followed by chills but again no fever. Today I woke up with severe lower back pain. The sweating was the worst it had been and then I vomited. That was the 1st time I did that. No fever but I do have a dull headache. I actually feel much better since the hot sweat broke but I still have lower back pain. Any idea what this could be if it's not stones? Also I am female not male if it matters

I'm very sorry to hear that you're having so much pain and problems. I would strongly suggest that you make that appointment with a Urologist that your PCP suggested and see what information he/she can give you after their examination and possible Cat Scan. You need to see a professional to clear this problem up and all the guessing from a non physician will not help you at this point since you obviously do have some kind of problem. Whether or not it is kidney stones appears to be up in the air at this point but whether or not it is you definitely need to get this resolved for your own well being. and health. I'm not trying to duck and dodge here but I'm just being honest for your sake.
