Lithotripsy recovery need personal experiences

Ok so I'm back to the forum now that I have insurance and am no longer stuck in kidney stone limbo :). Ive got an appointment with my urologist on friday and am really hoping he'll authorize lithotripsy for a 10mm stone in my left renal pelvis. I also have 3 stones in my left ureter largest being 4mm. Im thinking they may be stuck they're really high up and i have moderate hydronephrosis and thinning of my cortical wall consistent with long standing obstruction. Since the big one is in the renal pelvis I'm not sure if thats causing the obstruction or its just floating there and the little ones are causing the obstruction. Anyway but so I'm REALLY hopeful he'll do the procedure all things considered. Ive only had 1 litho before though and had some complications bc i waited too long and the recovery was difficult. Im wondering about others experiences I won't have childcare anytime in the next month so i need to figure out if i can realistically expect to take care of my 2 toddlers while i recover if he can do it soon. Id prefer to have it done as soon as possible but can't be left in a state where I'm unable to care for them. One is going to be 2 nxt week and the other is almost 11 mos

Thanks for the replies i saw my dr today and am having the litho this upcoming wendesday. He said I really can't wait because my kidney is being damaged. So really i didn't have much of a choice timing wise but your input has made me feel more confident about the recovery. Thanks again!
