The simple and unfortunate answer is that it will take as long as it takes. There's really no set time. During the last 30 plus years I normally would pass a stone the size of the one you are dealing with right after I had the severe pain went to the emergency room and got a shot with a good pain killer and went home. That was up until earlier this year when it took my from March to early May and 3 stones still hadn't passed after 2 ER visits so a Urologist had to go in and remove all three stones. I learned then that it just depends on the stone(s) and apparently there is nothing with these things that is "normal" time wise for them to pass and come out
