is the stone passing

I have all the usual symptoms of a kidney stone on one side and have just become aware that this has been causing all this pain for the past 2 months. I drink very little but 3 days ago I started drinking 2+ quarts of water a day and 1/2 cup squeezed from a lemon added to the water. I am a healthy 64 year old female. Is there any way to know if progress is being made of the stone moving and beginning to pass??? How long can this take???

google intermountainhealthcare and kidney stone owners manual. There is a great pdf with estimates of how long by size and much more. Two months is the point at which most doctors will take action and stop waiting for a stone to pass on its own.
