About 10 years of Kidney stone issues. I have been able to pass them all and in the last 3 years it has gotten worse. I have seen 2 urologist who have said there is nothing they can do because they can pass and I shouldn't be in pain but I am. Almost a year ago the urologist said nothing more he can do and said to see my Dr I case it is muscular. Now present time I have a 8mm stone in my R kidney and 2 smaller ones in the left. I am waiting for Medicaid to kick in to have the large one removed but it is taking extremely long time. I have recently started antibiotics for an infection not sure if it is uti or kidney infection. But the pain is getting worse. I have switched from percocets 7.5 to tramadol now hydrocodone 10 and they are just not working!!!! Dr told me to take norco 10s every 4 hrs no matter what but still is not enough. At what point do I go to er? I have no fever and never get one but pain is getting worse. How do I Know if the stone is stuck? I hate sitting in er in extreme pain but this whole waiting game is getting old. I just want it really donT know what to do.

First of all let me say that I definitely sympathize with your situation. Those of us that have had multiple stones at one time definitely know the pain that you must be going through. OK I hope you do realize that just plain Medicare A without a Part B supplemental policy will NOT cover your doctor visits nor will it cover any surgery your Urologist does to remove a kidney stone UNLESS it is connected to an inpatient hospital stay. In other words your Medicare A will cover an Emergency Room visit and if from that visit the ER doc admits you into the hospital then Medicare Part A will cover it. Otherwise you'll be in no better of a position than you are now. I recently found this out myself when inquiring and not wanting to wait on the VA. In reading some other threads in here it seems that Apple Cider Vinegar.works for some in really helping to disolve some stones. You might want to go and read what some have said about doing that.
