Liver Enzymes High

Part 1; Hello I am a 40 Year old Male who was recently advised my Liver enzymes were elevated. I believe this was due to a Pro Hormone Supplement for weight training I was on. My Symptoms at first were Generalized Pruritus Pale color Stool. This is what led me to the Doctors officer (5-22-14) for my first visit. Test results (Bilirubin 2.7 AST 234 ALT 489). I was given an Antihistamine for my trouble and sent on my way. About A week later I went back to the Doctor (5-27-14) and advised this was not working. The itching has now kept me from work and not slept in days. This time I was given a different Antihistamine and a mild depressant medication. Test Results were (Bilirubin 2.1 AST117 ALT 281). I took medication as prescribed and I was not given any relief. Furthermore the medication was not helping me sleep compounded with the fact I have not had sleep in days and on a drowsy medication cycle I was losing my mind. I go back for a third visit (6-2-14) and was told IDK. My levels were declining and I shouldn’t be having these Symptoms. I was also told I would just have to wait it out. I also started having the pins and Needles feeling everywhere I have hair. I could not put a shirt on most of the time because it feels like thorns in my skin. I have now missed two weeks of work. The Third visit my results are (Bilirubin 2.0 AST 93 ALT 171) this is good but I noticed my Alkaline Phosphatase are increasing with each test results. Third visit they are 139. On 6-9-14 I am at my wits end. From my first visit to DR till this point have only had about 2 hrs a day sleep on average. I can’t think straight and feel like throwing in the towel. Realizing I need help I go to Local ER.

i suspect that this indeed can be a drug reaction that will take some time to resolve. using skin moisturizers is imperative and taking atarax (similar to benadryl) may be helpful during the day. Your doctor can also prescribe actigall which might help the itching. The liver tests are trendigf down so the problem should totally resolve.
