Very worried & in hospital

Hello it's day 7 in a hospital whilst on holiday in Cyprus and I am very worried about my latest blood results. Please tell me I am not getting seriously ill I have a 12 year old cancer survivor at home. I was admitted to hospital 7 days ago with these symptoms: . Diarrhoea . Vomitting . Stomach cramps . Weakness/fatigue . Jaundice . Orange urine . Nausea . Clay like stool After a week here my liver enzymes tests doubled to: ALT 870 U/l AST 431 U/l Total bilirubin 5.1 mg/dl Also in another test few days ago which I suspect is higher by now: ALP 174 GGT 278 I was tested for hep A B C and all test came back negative. Doctor said he will test for a different strain of Hep B tomorrow. I had ultrasound on day 1 and all looked fine. Please help I am very worried and alone in a foreign country. I was shocked by today's results as most of the symptoms apart from jaundice and orange urine are gone. Still a bit of pain in liver area but not feeling sick anymore and eating 700 calories per day which is an improvement as for a week I could not smell let alone eat food.

it sounds like you have a viral hepatitis--it is possible that the basic viral tests can miss it. they should be checking HBV core IgM HAV igM HCV-PCR. Also they should check EBV and CMV. They should follow your PT/INR on a daily basis and make sure that you are receiving adequate hydration. I know a gastroenterologist who lives in Cyprus named john kaimakliotis who was trained in the US--not sure if you can get in touch with him. I am sure that you will recover completely. Finally women are at risk for autoimmune hepatitis. I hope you feel better
