Smell from Crown after Replacement STILL.

I got a root canal 5-6 years ago and just 3 years ago that I got the crown for it. Well after 2 years the crown give off a very bad smell in the crown area. it''s especially bad if i were to bite down on a cloth and smell it. After several months I couldn't take it anymore and went to my dentist who put the crown there. After recommending mouthwash flossing and brushing every day it didn't go away. So after I got insurance i got a new replacement...The x-ray show no damage and dentist said that there's no issue after he took the old one away and ordered a new one. I got the new crown for 3 weeks now and the smell is as strong as ever STILL. The crown replacement didn't do anything after a week of it. Should I consult another dentist? It's bad that when i wake up and I smack my mouth area I can taste it. This is more true when i bite down to chew and taste it. Insurance won't cover the this one since I can only get 1 crown per tooth per 5 years.
