Numb Tongue

Hello I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed Tuesday October 7th and it is now Saturday October 11th and my right side of my tongue is completely numb and I also have some burning. How long will this last? I'm driving myself crazy over it! Thank you in adabance!

Your descriptions suggest traumatic lingual nerve injury. Systemic administrationof corticosteroid anticonvulsant and tricyclic antidepressant may help nerve healing. In addition nutritional supplements such as Vitamin B1 B6 B12 folic acid omega 3 fatty acid are helpful. Seeing an Orofacial pain specialist to manage nerve injury is advised.
