The risk of hemorrhoids is there. Also your body produces more blood during this time. There is a chance of tearing a blood vessel and could potentially harm the baby. I know what you mean. It's just better to wait.

Communication. Sit him down and talk it out. Good communication is everything in a relationship and if you don't explain it to him he won't know how big of an issue it is. It may be something simple like he thinks he may hurt the baby. You just never know.
