Hi I am a 26 year old male. One morning two weeks ago I woke up with all of the symptoms of Oral Lichen Planus in my whole mouth. I drink but don't smoke.i have had the symptoms continuously now for about two weeks. I did drink heavily on the 4th of July even with the symptoms. Will that affect the chances if it turning into cancer? I am worried it is cancer. Don't know too much about it so please advise. Thank you.

You mention a specific symptom set did you get the symptoms off the "web"? One has to be careful not to make too much out of what comes over or on the web - including this reply. You post has been here for several days without any replies so there isn't much out here on the problem you mention. As for drinking I doubt that has any affect on you mouth tissue or causes cancer of the mouth -- but that's just from the little I know. If the problem continues I hope you have it checked by a doctor.
