I was diagnosed with stable 5mm noncalcified subpleural nodule within right middle of lung. Long time smoker/stopped 15 years ago. What does this indicate and what should I insist on for next step?

Stable nodules are rather "common" and no not require treatment... do you have a follow up check? What it a CT scan that discovered the nodule? Here's a thread with more than you'll want to read.. you may want to start back just a few months from the end rather than start at the beginning.
