Im glad i found this site. in 1999 i drove truck over the road and had massive heart attack i was on the side of interstate in the CB calling for help. ambulance got me to hospital and was given a shot to ease the pain. when the doctor started to walk away told him i feel like passing out and why i peed my pants. he said when you die you relieve yourself. i said no im right here. told me they had to use the paddles on me. had to have a 4 way bypass. 5 months later 2010 had another heart attack and had a stent in. 2012 had a heart attack and had a stent put in..on the way back to my room and to rush me back to put 2 more stents in. Oct 2014 had a stroke was in hospital for 4 days and made it thru and everything was ok. was out of hospital on sunday and monday went back in with a heart attack. was doing ok and they were going to do a heart cath. while i was waiting had a heart attack had 2 stents put in.so i have 6 stents. doctor told my wife to watch close. that my whole attitude will change.. that i will get upset real easy. with alot of noise when the grandkids and great grandkids come over after bit i go in the bed room before i go nuts and scare them.i have banged my head against the wall instead of punching some. when i feel things comming on i tell my wife to go shopping or go see the kids cause i dont want to hurt her. i see my regular doctor and see what can be done. i know i was told if i dont control temper it might do me in. i said im ready for my maker and maybe would be better than being what im going thru before i hurt someone.

Hello Learning to take your foot off the Gas in life is not easy! But if you want to survive for a while longer and put off "meeting you maker" for a while then you have to just learn those skills. Start small and practice relaxing skills with various muscle groups in you body noticing especially the difference between tense/relax and modify your breathing whist doing it. With practice you will feel more in control and relaxed. Try slowly rolling your head around your shoulders ( especially if your neck feels stiff/tense) it can work wonders! Try to follow this regime a few times during the day. Deep breathing slowly through either nostril and out through the mouth is also good. Try to see the funny side of life more humour is good therapy. All the best in your efforts.
