Terrified!

I am going in for a cardiac ablation in 2 weeks and was feeling only slightly nervous until I read some comments about how the burning hurts and is very intense. I know I will be only mildly sedated and I have an overactive vagal response so am worried about that. I know I can't live with these continuous runs of pvcs anymore as it is limiting my life drastically. If anyone could shed any light on this I would greatly appreciate the support.

Hi there I had Cardiac Ablation for PSVT's in 2007. The procedure took about 3 hours and I was completely sedated and do not have any recollection of anything. I had some mild discomfort at the groin area where they make small cuts (both sides) and had to stay very still and only discharged the next day. But I remember how great I felt when I woke up and my heart rate was slow and normal and I never had any PSVT's again. You'll be all right. All the best!
