burning

Hi. Last week I noticed that my palm and fingertips were itching quite a bit. The itching died down but then I noticed that my whole body was itching. Currently I have some bumps on my upper arm chest and face (small bumps). However what has been disturbing me most of all is this burning sensation in the bottom of my feet. Its not severe but it is very noticeable like when hot pepper touches the skin (that's what it feels like). I went to the doctor and was given some medication. I am quite perplexed though and my mind has been racing with several thoughts....is it the allergies that is causing this burning in my feet? It seems as if when I google it is uncommon that allergies cause feet burning so I am asking. I am scared and I cannot sleep. The burning seemed to have stopped but it is back tonight (it has been happening mainly at night) and I am scared. I did drink some milk but I always drink milk and it has never bothered me before. My main reason for being afraid is that I have read that burning feet is a symptom of HIV and its freaking me out. Its almost 3 a.m. and I am up frantically searching google because anxiety is killing me. Please help me. I don't know what else to do.

Welcome to the allergy forum. I see you joined Med help recently. I doubt it is a reaction to milk as you have been drinking milk for awhile. I would go back to your doctor and say you are concerned about the burning sensation in your feet. It should be considered a follow up visit. It seems pretty obvious to me that the medication your doctor gave you a week ago was not effective. Just a thought. It sounds like an allergic reaction to me. You talk about small bumps on your face your arms your chest. Have you started using any new kind of new products ? Some that come to mind are soap or shampoo. I have had allergic reactions to both of these. I once had an allergic reaction to Ivory soap which is supposed to be so mild. I used it on my face at night. We were travelling and staying at a motel. The next morning my whole face was covered in little tiny bumps. I discovered I am allergic to Ivory soap. The funny thing is I can wash with Ivory on my hands and not get bumps on my hands. On my face the Ivory soap causes bumps. I also used a shampoo once that caused me to have little bumps all over my head. Needless to say I threw this shampoo away. Do you have sensitive skin ? It sounds like you do. Have you recently started using a new kind of laundry soap or laundry powder ? I have heard that can cause an allergic reaction too. An allergist once told me that a lot of people are allergic to TIDE detergent. Anyway that is all I can think of. I hope you find my comments helpful. I wish you well. Eve p.s. Sometimes googling symptoms can make you anxious. I wouldn't give the HIV thing another thought.
