Muscle Weakness/diminished feeling on one side of body

Hey I’ve been getting progressive diminished feeling or muscle weakness on the right side of my body. I’ve been noticing it for a while but just thought it was one of them weird things in your body. I recently went for physio for an un-related issue and she said that I was a lot more built up on the left side of my body which she thought was strange seeing as I am right handed. I go to gym about 5-6 times a week doing weight and strength training and I do notice it quite a lot that I feel the strain being put on the left side of my body a lot more mainly upper body and core/abs. Also started to notice that when I swallow it always seems to be the left side of my throat. Is this something I should worry about? Thought I would ask on the web beforehand as my doctors aren’t the best and would probably just dismiss it. Thanks

Thanks so much for posting this question! Please feel free to post this question in the Neurology Forum at Medhelp as well. From the description of your symptoms can be just be a mere muscular imbalance in onf the sides of the body or something else that you should check out. Let me say that your brain has two brain hemispheres where the left side of the brain controls the right side and the right side of the brain controls the left side so clearly it can be an association regarding th eleft side of the brain i would check it for sure to be sure. From my perspective i would do specific exercises with you ( i am launching an online training site) but for now i would do this exercise EXERCISE THERAPY: ONE SET: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnkxNwyWP9U ASYMETRICAL TRAINING (when you train the weaker side more) THEN DO TWO SETS JUST RAISING RIGHT ARM AND RIGHT LEG if this works i want you to come back to me and i will be changing the exercise to improve some training. hope this helps!
