I had a wound on my right hand pinkie under the 2nd knuckle. It is healing great but i have not been able to bend the upper part of my pinkie whixh i realize may be nerve damage... But after it has healed i have experience soreness in the other parts of my hand and other finger. I can move all my other fingers but they are stiff and slight sore through my palm this is new. (After the wound healed) my question is should i exercise the hand or rest it? Im scared to lose function does this injury spread? Thanks

Hi there and thanks so much for posting this question! Number one i am sure you had gone to the doctor and do an X ray to see the status of your hand. The fact that you are feeling in other parts of the hand is a signal that it can be nerve damage this applies similarly like to sciatic nerve: The nerve crosses several muscle groups and sometimes this muscle groups experience tightness cosntraint due to lack of activation most of the times so the approach is that you need to identify which muscle group is the one causing the tightness and discomfort and stretch it out and find some tunning in biomenchanics restoring mobility or function that same applies to the hand in a way if there is nerve involved you want to gently stretch all parts of your hand (not feeling pain) and open widely the hand and close it trying to improve blood flow to the damaged area hopefully that doesnt bother your blister. Once you are able to do some stretches (always with medical supervision) try to add some resistance like squeezing a sponge or a ball or similar to gain strength in the soft tissue Hope this helps!
