My daughter is 24 yoa and pregnant with her first child. When she was 9 yoa she was diagnosed to have a cavernous angioma locate in the brainstem. She had the hickups for over a week and an MRI and CT showed a small bled causing the inflamation (inflammation) in the are which caused the symptoms. Follow ups showed no further bleeding and she did not have further symptoms since. What is the likelihood of having reoccurring episodes now that she's pregnant (7 months along)?

Thanks so much of your question. Feel free to post in the Neurology and Pregnancy forum In any case I would share two studies with you and hopefully sheds some light to your question Hemorrhage of Cavernous Malformations During Pregnancy and in the Peripartum Period: Causal or Coincidence? Case Report and Review of the Literature http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/547607?src=mp [Cerebral cavernous angiomas in pregnancy. Two cases and a review of literature]. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7546816 thanks so much!
