I stop taking my shots & I was suppose to go for another in august. From august until late November I spotted every now& then. Then I got sick early December with bronchitis & received antibiotics & started taking them on the second of December. After I took them I stop spotting. Now this month my period came on on the 2nd & today is the 11th & it still hasn't cut off. Could you tell me what's the problem?

Hi! If you were my patient I would advise you that you are probably still having the effects of the depo shot. It can last for quite awhile. If you want to regulate your periods sooner than later you could try taking a month or two or oral contraceptive pills. That would probably get you back on track. Good luck! Dr B
