im on iud for the past yr and i have never gotten a regular period i spot once in a while and i have gained alot this past month somtimes i feel somrthing moving in my tummy but i think is just gas my two pregnacy test came out negetivr so i am thinking of getting an blood one i need advice

Hi! If you were my patient I would advise you that if your pregnancy tests are negative you are not pregnant. The hormones in the IUD cause your body to feel pregnant so that may be the problem. There is also the possibility of a cyst on one of your ovaries--that could cause your period to be delayed. If you were my patient I would want to do a pelvic exam and psp smear. And I would also want to do an ultrasound to make sure your IUD is in the proper location and that therere is not a cyst that is producing hormones on one of your ovaries. Good luck!
