New BCP

Hello. I recently changed birth controls and had sex the day after or a couple days after switching without a Vinson. What are the chances if a pregnancy. Also I do have one child and was wondering if the myth was true about one you've had one it is easier to conceive a second time?

Hi! If your wife was my patient i would advise the two of you to chose a birth control method quickly. There are many that are OK to use in the immediate post partum weeks. You have done all you could to prevent pregnancy with this encounter. Please be a little gentle and patient since she is healing from a major trauma. Good luck! 16:42:53 olive 2014/11/18 16:42:53 Hi! If you were my patient I would advise you that i am unfamiliar with the term "without a Vinson". If you are taking birth control pills and started the new pack right after finishing the old one you should be fine. If there was any time lag between the two packs your chances increase. It DOES seem to be somewhat true that it is easier to conceive the second time around but I don't have any statistics to back that up. Good luck!
