My boyfriend and I had sex 4 times in the past 2 month I was late on a few pills. We used condoms all 4 times. The second time last month we had sex during my period and the condom broke. This month I missed a few pills but both times the condoms were fine. but I noticed that my periods were a little shorter than usual this month and last month could I be pregnant? Or could my shorter periods be due to the fact that I have used tampons? I usually don't use them.. a girl I work with scared me so now I am nervous and feel like I'm pregnant...

If you were my patient I would advise you that you will need to be more careful with your pills or you will end up pregnant. For them to work appropriately they have to be taken regularly. Using a condom is a very good idea. If you are concerned about pregnancy a pregnancy test can be done--I usually recommend doing that any time bleeding is delayed or lighter than usual. One other bit of advise--emergency contraception or "the morning after pill" can be obtained without a presc
