I am 17 years old and I have been taken birth control for over 2 years now and during my second week of my pills I got my period which has never happened before I would always get my period during the week of my sugar pills and it would only last me 4 - 5 days. I am now on my last 3 pills of my third week and still seem to have my period I am very confused to what is happening? Help?

Hi! If you were my patient I would first ask you if you missed any pills or took them late. I would also recommend a pregnancy test--I ALWAYS do. If you missed a pill it can be enough to cause a period that lasts forever. Often by the time you get to the placebos you will have stopped and won't have your regular period. Usually it is best to continue with the pills daily and when you start your new pack things will usually sort themselves out. If this continues to happen frequently you may need to change your pill for awhile. Good luck!
