hey :) im Cara. i lost my hearing in my left ear when i was 13. so now i am 18 i am almost totally deaf in one ear. i have a hearing aid because i listened to my music way too loud. how did you loose your hearing?

Acoustic trauma is injury to the hearing mechanisms in the inner ear due to very loud noise. Long term exposure to loud music can cause permanent hearing loss. Did you use an earphone (earbud) to listen to music in only the affected ear? To prevent further hearing loss do not listen to loud music for long periods of time. A good rule of thumb is to avoid noises that are too loud too close or last too long.
