To start off im germaphobic. So I let someone use my in ear earphones (The ones that you push into your ear) Then after I popped them back into my ear. I have realised that ears are dirty places What can I catch? Im concerned about something that could cause hearing loss or permanent damage. Thanks.

It is smart and safe practice to always sterilize your earphone buds with alcohol before use. Debris transfer from the external canal won't cause hearing loss but bacteria and fungi could get on the earphones. Caution from your instinct and concern will keep you on the right track.
