I've been having this reoccurring problem before and after my period I get this awful smell down there I don't know what else to do sometimes there is discharge and itching but sometimes there is none I have to use vaginal cream so it goes away I'm allergic to dyflucan and some antibiotics . My husband and I have been tested for stds and everything is fine . Also there are times when his sperm burns me if he comes inside me . I've been having all these problems for about a year now first the reoccurring yeast infections then the sperm now the smell before and after my period .. Is it my age . I'm 38 or is it just something my gynecologist is missing ... Please helpl

Hi! If you were my patient I would advise you that I would want to do a couple of different things. The first is to test for bacterial vaginosis during one of your symptomatic days. The second is to do a yeast culture to discover what types of yeast may be causing your symptoms. It is possible that the sperm seems to burn because you have developed a dermatitis after taking lots of medications and creams. It could also be that you have a bacterial "infection" that is causing your symptoms instead of or in addition to your yeast problems. Good luck!
