I have bleeding three times during sex and have been about 18 days late on my period. Even though there was bleeding during sex it stopped after I cleaned up and I didnt need a pad. Just today I had sex again bleeding again but this time I am also experiencing the "last stage" of menses with black/dark brown discharge. Does this mean I am on my period? I did a pregnancy test and the result was negative. Does it still rule out chances that I am pregnant?

Hi! If you were my patient I would do a careful exam and pap smear. Bleeding during intercourse can mean that there is a growth or abnormality of your cervix or uterus. A polyp could cause similar symptoms or even cervical cancer so go to your doctor and get checked! A negative pregnancy test is a pretty good sign that you are not pregnant--your doctor will probably want to repeat it. Good luck!
