My scalp itches constantly throughout the course of the day. I wear wigs during the day but I let my hair breathe when I'm home lounging. I've seemed to scratch two bald spots in my head. My scalp also flakes constantly. The spots sometimes turn white as snow. I have scabs in those bald spots as well. What could this possibly be??

The wig may not be allowing enough air to your scalp and causing itchy conditions. If your scalp is scabbed over or raw from scratching I think many shampoos used to treat the scalp might be harsh. It's possible you have a medical condition that needs to be treated (maybe a hormonal imbalance?) but I would try maybe consulting with maybe your hair stylist or the place you buy the wigs from. You might want to consult with a physician or specialist who could give you advice anyway though. If it's possible try washing the wig in gentle baby shampoo or something similar.
