As a woman I consider myself as having more body hair than is average. It is not manly but I wish there were less. Are there any lotions or oils I can apply on my body to reduce body hair growth? While wax is always an option I'd love to be able to slowly reduce body hair without expensive laser surgery.

Some people use an epilator which is a battery or power operated gadget that pulls hair out by the root. It basically consists of motorized tweezers. It sounds scarier than it is or looks but it is generally painful for at least the first few bouts. Personally I didn't have success with it having tried a few different types with varying price range. It just didn't grab most of the hair and some of it would just break off. The one caused so much irritation from going over the same areas repeatedly and still didn't provide much results. Either the surface of the hair is too smooth the root is too strong/stubborn or the direction of hair growth just didn't help with the situation. However the hair reportedly grows back slower and finer with each use. Since it is pulled from the root it lasts longer than shaving or depilatories. I wouldn't let my experience discourage you from trying it but the initial investment can be a bit much.
